Trex deck builder in Tampa Bay
Trex Enhance, Select and Transcend decks with matching fascia, railing and lighting, built to Trex's installation instructions.
Trex is the composite brand most Tampa Bay homeowners ask for by name, and it's the board we install most. It's sold at local lumberyards and big-box stores, comes in a wide range of colors, and has matching railings, fascia, lighting and hidden fasteners, so the whole deck looks like one system.
Trex lines, in plain terms
Trex sells its decking in good, better and best tiers. Exact colors and warranty terms change from year to year, so we confirm the current lineup when we quote.
- Trex Enhance: The entry line. A solid capped composite that gets you off pine without paying top price. A good fit for rentals, side yards and budget-focused jobs.
- Trex Select: A step up in surface finish and color range. A good middle ground for most family decks.
- Trex Transcend: The premium line, with the deepest grain look and the most colors. The Transcend Lineage colors are made to run cooler in sun, which matters on a south-facing Florida deck.

How we install Trex
- Every post on a poured concrete footing, held off the ground.
- Pressure-treated framing at 12 inches on center, tighter than the minimum spacing for straight boards, so the surface stays flat and stiff.
- End and side gaps set to Trex's spacing chart for the temperature on install day.
- Hidden fasteners or Trex color-matched screws and plugs.
- A picture-frame border and matching fascia on every edge.
Trex railing and lighting
Trex makes composite and aluminum railing systems that match its boards, plus deck lighting for stairs, posts and rails. Mixing brands is fine too. Many of our customers pair Trex boards with black aluminum or cable railing. See railings and stairs.
Common questions
How much does a Trex deck cost in Tampa?
Our recent ground-level Trex quotes have run about $41 to $48 per square foot installed, including footings, framing, boards, fascia and hidden fasteners. A 16×12 came to $7,889 and a 20×12 to $11,410. Raised decks, railings and stairs add to that.
Which Trex line should I pick?
Enhance for value, Select for most family decks, and Transcend when you want the richest look or a cooler-running color for full sun. We bring samples so you can compare them in your own yard.
Does Trex fade in Florida sun?
Capped Trex boards hold color far better than older uncapped composite or wood, but every board weathers a little in strong UV. Lighter and multi-tone colors hide it best. Trex's warranty terms cover fade and stain for a set number of years depending on the line.
Are you a TrexPro?
Not at this time. We install Trex to the manufacturer's installation instructions on every job, which is what keeps the product warranty in place.
